Hydraulic humming from rear of Evo

Whenever I drive the car for more than 1 mile, a hydraulic humming sound seems to come from the rear. It makes the sounds while driving, also when stopped and idling, but as soon as I turn it off the sound stops. I stopped at the dealer today and the tech said it sounded like the fuel pump was going out. He said the humming could be the bearings or propeler (I think) going out in the pump. I have a Walbro 255 pump in it and its only about 1 1/2 year old.

I plan on taking out the Walbro tomorrow and putting in the stock pump to see if the humming will stop. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of anything like this occurring?

This is the only link I've seen that tells how to get the pump out: http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php...3_13&tech_id=9

that common for the walbro...

and those instructions are the easiest to follow....

i used that the first time i installed one and it was very simple... have some paper towels ready when u pull the tubes off the fuel pump.. i had 2 or 3 ounces come out

cheers!

you mean walbro 255, and they do tend to get noisy.

After a 30 minute session of hot laps, that thing is screaming! It's really loud in hi-flow mode..
