treperformance 255 fuel pump

not much talk about these pumps but i was wondering if any of you have experience with these supposedly queiter pumps...these pumps can be found on ebay or at treperformance.com but the main points that they stress are the pumps are flow tested by rc engineering, quieter operation than walbros, and 1 year warranty!!!
--lmk if you guys have any experience...

--dont flame please, i know theres not much talk and im pretty sure many of you are going to say stick with something proven!!!...just a thought about this fuel pump!!!

they are a better pump...heat coated to withstand high temps and flow better

there was just a thread on these pumps yesterday (evo general I think)

not sure if they are quieter but I know they definitely have a one year warranty

usually used for high hp applications

Here is a trick I used on my Walbro. Go to your local GM parts dealer and pick up a NVH fuel pump 'sock'. They used them on just about everything for the mid '80's. If you need a specific application use a 3rd gen f-body or v6 Fiero.
With one of these slipped over your FP you shouldnt hear it.

We went over this a few days ago. I got some input back from my budy that ran this a long time ago.

He got 590whp at 29psi. But it didnt last long only a few days then craped out. Now he is running a weldon which he will never have any issuses with fuel ever and i mean ever again.

But this pump is great for any evo that has under 500whp once you pass that mark you should look into getting a dual pump setup.

how does the sock quiet things down? this really works? just dampens the noise?

just more of damping the sound...kinda like dynomat...but i have a feeling a sock could act up like a sweater and may not allow the pump to cool down as much...just a though on that one
