Got a baseline dyno today...

Well I finally got my stock IX (K&N drop-in) on the dyno. Kyle and Ryan @ Bishop Motorsports did all the work. The dyno is a Dynapack dyno (which supposedly reads between a Mustang and a Dyno Dynamics). My first pull was at 69.3 degrees F and I made 244.8 awhp and 255.1 awtq (SAE corrected) My second and final pull was at 53.5 degrees F and I made 258.1 awhp @ 6201 rpm and 258.4 awtq @ 3649 rpm(also SAE corrected). I'll try and scan my sheets and post them up tomorrow. I was more than impressed to say the least. Thanks again to Ryan and Kyle @ Bishop in Canton

Not sure why anyone would say "between a Mustang and Dyno Dynamics," because Mustangs can range anywhere from very low to very high depending on how it's calibrated. Dynapacks are generally equivalent to Dynojets and sometimes a little higher.

Anyway, the numbers are in the expected range. The first run is usually a throw-away, since the coolant temps aren't in the optimum range for ignition timing from the ECU, which is probably why your 2nd run is much better. As for the SAE correction, the low temps means that your SAE CF was below 1.00, which means your raw uncorrected numbers were actually higher than this. SAE lowers your numbers when the temps are below 75-ish, so you actually made more power. Also, how in the world did the temps in the dyno bay drop by 16* between pulls? That's strange.

We opened up one of the garage bays to let some of the cold (18 degree) air in
