Another plus for the cast manifold is it appears to maintain the stock heat shield for those who want to stay under the radar.

Especially for us in Cali.

yeah but how will the flow of that manifold compare to those with the ramhorn and others? that cast iron manifold just seems to be very limited

flow is a matter of runner volume.

cast iron is limited much like tube steel is

A lot of Ram-horned and fabbed manifolds actually have small internal diameter because of the very thick gauge of the components used to construct it. Just because it looks massive outside means little. Inside you'll be suprised. I've seen many manifolds where the runners are significantly smaller than the ports on the flange they weld it to.

Again, this is because many manufacturers are limited by the fact they only have access to certain materials they can work with. As a result they are forced to design a product around the limitations of their supply, tooling, budget, etc. This is exactly where Nisei is completely 180 degrees different. I personally have witnessed several times Nisei having a product in the drawing boards and them taking the steps necessary to make that product exactly as designed. Infact, there are products that have been in the works for a while now because of the amount of work it's taking to acquire the means to produce it.

With a cast manifold you can retain a large internal diameter and achieve the bends required and still make room for the surrounding engine components to give it a stock-like fitment. I'm excited to see the Nisei manifold released. I've had the prototype on our shop evo and the craftmanship is killer.

As for the cast manifold by Nisei Engineering, it has crazy flow capability, the internal diameter is nearly 2" I.D. Most other assembled manifolds are not 2" O.D.

Back to topic. The Compeititon FMIC has all the same Heat Transfer capability of the STREET BUT, the COMPETITION FMIC is one up on it. It has ALOT MORE FLOW CAPABILITY. It will tranfer all the heat as the STREET WITH LESS THAN HALF OF THE PRESSURE DROP! LESS THAN HALF!!!
