ss clutch line install.. Do i need more brake fluid?

So im about to install my ss baided clutch line and got a couple questions.
Is my master cylinder going to drain completly when i get the hose off?
If so how much brake fluid will i need to replenish it, and should i pay the premium for OEM fluid or can i use some DOT 3 from kragen? Thanks guys.

It is a PITA to replace that ss line. You'll probably end up going through 1 to 2 bottles of fluid depending on how much bubble is in the line and how easy it is to get all the bubbles out. I just use fluids from the auto parts store that meets or exceeds Mistu's specs. Have fun

no it will not drain all of your fluid. i bought 3 bottles just cus i wanted extra. it only took less than one bottle, and i bled the clutch and brakes. if you change the brake fluid to a different kind you not only have to bleed the clutch but you have to bleed the brakes too (well, its recommended)

OK, Did you guys remove the plastics under the car and put an oil pan below? Im just wondering if all my brake fluid is going to come rushing out when i get that tranny mounted piece with the restricter in it, off. I know i need to bleed the clutch, but will i really need to bleed the brakes too? thanks

its recommended....i bled the brakes cus i need to anyway. you don't have to remove the plastic. if you put the car on jacks or ramp you can reach it with rachet and extensions(i had to use 2... 4 incher). after i got the bolt loose i put a oil pan under the car and let it drain. its only a little fluid though

you can also use DOT 4 which has a higher boiling point and its safe to mix with DOT 3.
