Alright, ya know what. This forum was designed for members to help members. the last I chacked the dude who started this thread quit replying like seven comments ago. We put in our feedback and you put in yours so lets leave it at that and let all the bashing and snide remarks go to the wayside.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Wow, this tread got a little off topic quickly...the TypeS will hold 24-25 with one spring (I run it this way) - and 22 easy. It all depends how you have it adjusted.

It comes with 2 springs, usually you do the single spring mod to get it to work a little better/easier to adjust. Both springs would be too stiff for most cars and that will give you issues.

Single Spring Mod:

But I also agree that the IX is a good DV for people who already have one. I did not (aka plastic DV) so thats why I have mine. But also note the TypeS is no longer produced and was replaced by the RS. A cone filter change and the IX will give you that sound you are looking for...but I strongly suggest not modding by those standards - mod by necessity/power goals.

Wow, he ignored the real advice and really only cares about getting this outdated BOV so he can make noise when his stocker is superior. Amazing what people will do to their Evos just to be "cool." 2F2F FTW!!!

if someone wants the sound of a bov why cant people just help him and say what needs to be done instead of persuading him not to do it. Hes gunna do it anyway so why not help him out.

Man, just get that electronic doohicky that makes the sound for you. Make it go off simultaniously with your DV and it will be in stereo!

Um, because there are already 1000 BOV threads, and because we DID already tell him how to make the noise WITHOUT CHANGING the BOV, but he ignored it.

I guess I'll contribute something useful......

30 psi falling to 24 psi on the stocker
34 psi falling to 27 psi on a 20g
