What's the difference between a GT30R and a 50 trim as far as spool time and usable power?

I would say as much as 500rpms later than a 50trim but more likely about 300-400.The gt30 flows 52lbs and the 50trim flows 49lbs so the gt30 should have more in it on race gas/meth and high boost with max power right around 530whp. 50trim tops out right around 500whp

i personally prefer the peakboost kit. i have dealt with them on many occasions with different vehicles. i feel the performance of the parts that they have are very high end with a moderate price. i like their work and their customer service. just my 2 cents.

Shearer ftw...Thats who I will get my kit from. My buddy here in Boise just installed his GT42 on the shearer top mount with side exit exhaust...The sickness. He also a T3/GT35 Shearer kit going on a customers car and I want to steal it everytime I see it...did I mention lifetime warranty!

Some of you guys seem to be looking the "best" kit out there. Go with whichever kit suits your tastes/needs. AMS is good. Shearer is good. Full Race is good. Etc, etc, ad nauseum. You really can't go wrong with many of the kits out there, and there are plenty of great builders.

Shearer & PeakBoost have the nicest headers w/ their kits, both offer lifetime warranties.

There was a guy on this very thread who said that the 50 trim is not as good as a GT30R, what would be his basis for that?

Personally, I have only seen good results from people with 50trims.

the gt30 is so overrated, especially for the evo. the 50trim will spool quicker and make as much power.

Everyone has an option, even though 75% of them will be drawn with no proof or evidence to back up that opinion. Got to live the internet!

That is correct.

So the question is-is 30 potential whp worth 500rpm more lag time?
