congratulations man, that's fantastic, I'm going with this turbo as well but probably 272's in/ex cams and I'll probably keep it to pump gas only. It's my daily driver so I'll keep it in that mode.

Thanks man! Buscher is gonna love you!!! keep us posted!!
PS.
This turbo ought to allow me to catch those pesky ZO6's that leave me 12 cars behind down the straight on the road coarse. And it should be a total blast on the Dragon this spring too!

Spaceball, thanks for the info on the actuator. Anyone have good luck running the HP actuator with ECU Flash, MBC, and holding steady boost to redline? Mine tapers a bit by redline.

I have been driving the 20G9-LT for the past month and I love the turbo. I run 91 octane here in Nevada and I just switched to 76 pump gas and it is so much better than te Chevron pump gas it is scary. But the best part is this when I drive in the mountains there is no extra lag. The boost will go to 30 PSI if I let it. I have it adjusted at 22-23 psi and with 76 91 pump gas the car feels like it is up 25 hp.

Just one last thing that is really cool each night I pull into my garage and let the car idle down and shut off the key then I can hear the turbo wind down and stop, Man that is so cool and of course the Car is screaming fast too.

Bump!

I have the 20gLT and am running on meth with the stock actuator, my boost tapers a bit by redline as well. I just got the Forge actuator in the mail today and will have it on by this weekend. I will post the results later.

Well, yes at lower boost levels is going to be less of a problem keeping the boost up and maintaining psi until redline. Tuning the actuator, boost controller, fuel, etc. is a bit more simple, and finding the right settings can be done on pump.

Things get a little more scary at 30 to 32 psi. . You are now required to run very hi octane fuel, keep an eye on the wideband, make sure the boost does not shoot way hi, that you got both hands on the wheel as the car is making insane torque, and keeping an eye on the road as you are aproaching things real fast. It is not easy at that level.

One thing to mention guys is that this was the very first time I ever boosted this turbo pass 28 psi. I only had it for 2 to 3 weeks. I was not even sure if the boost was going to be right when I jumped on the dyno. I teak'd the controller a bit, but you can not expect to get it right on the 1st. try.

Like I sayed, it is not going to be easy tuning it to hit 30 to 31 psi and hold good until redline simply because it is expenssive to run that hi octane fuel just to tune daily until is right. And, because it is more dangerous, and risky to the engine boosting that hi and doing pull after pull until is right.

Somebody told me that getting the taper to go away wasnt "Rocket science". I thought that was easy to do.

BTW, nice numbers too.

Sounds like you are a good guy, nice. Is good to see replys like yours, .

Now, wipe that grin off your face, . I sayed it was not "Rocket Science", but I did not sayed I could do Magic, .

I was at the Dyno 1 1/2 hours and spended 5 minutes of that missing with the boost controller the very first few runs.
The rest was used to tune the ECU and A/F's. Not enought time to tune out the tapper.

New turbo, new Wastegate Actuator, new Manifold, more Boost. Too many new things to take into account. Time was short.
I know you know what I mean. It was Apples to Oranges.
I will try to get it tuned out. I will definatelly get back with you if and when I get it down to a Science again .
Take care,
Manie P.
