My trans took a sh*t on me this pass weekend, 5th is gringing and reverse is sometimes a no go. If I'am thinking right these trans should look like a Passat 5 speed. Reverse and 5th should share the same sycro hub, somethings wrong with the spring and paw assembly... I'll figure it out.

I would deffinatly go with Shep and get the cryo treating, or maybe the Bushwacker modified transmission.

I am seeing if the dealer can help me out

If they can't I will either rebuild it myself or have John, or maybe Dan do it for me

You sure about that honcho...
Shep is a great guy and builds good stuff. TRE does the same. I have had my TRE trans. for a very long time and I put down OK power. No problems yet except my short shifter which has nothing to do with the trans. I had a great experience with Jon. The man lives breaths eats Evo/DSM trans., that is ALL he does... Ming is Ok to
Back on topic. Ultimate CC you can't go wrong with a trans built by a guy that runs 7's... Good luck bro and keep us updated!

I think you should just fix whats broken. Unless the car is apart and you have like a 600whp setup

Why just fix whats broken ...it broke... Make sure nothing breaks again. Obviously stock wasnt strong enough.

Yeah his is broken and must be fixed. Im talking if yours isnt broken. Should I take out my trans and have it done up because it "might" break? I dont think so.

BTW, you know the 903whp AMS EVO runs the stock transmission.

You will save yourself 700+ dollars if you just get it done before you break it...its all depends on how you drive the car, if you abuse it and race it its going to break eventually...

so what would I ask Mr. Shep to do to my transmission if I had a car built for road road racing?
