Anyone running the PeakBoost GT30R w/ .63 AR
I’ve been looking at a lot of turbo kits lately and was wondering who’s running a PeakBoost GT30R w/ a .63 AR. I’m really impressed with their lifetime warranted headers and overall design. I’m looking for people who have experience with this particular kit, even if you are running the larger AR. If I end up buying it, I will be using it on the street and road racing applications. I'm told that this particuler combo will spool fairly quickly, yet still pull hard up top to. I’m looking for specifics such as what kind of spool up, trq & hp on 93 pump & 110 race fuel. I’ve looked at several other turbo kits but don’t want to put a turbo in that I can’t upgrade down the road, and for the price they gave me with a complete package, including a DP, dump tube, headers & hotside turbo, all ceramic coated, I can’t see a better deal available.
Let me know your experience.

Hey Kyle, you won't find a lot of GT30 fans on this site.
The 3065 kit from Bushur seems nice, but people who don't want to go that big or mainly drive on pump gas usually prefer a BB50-trim.

Hey jason,
I was told this kit will spool faster than the BR3065 kit, especially w/ the .63 AR. I also like the tubuler headers that come with it, they're supposed to make it spool faster too. i definately like the look of headers and if they're designed well, they'll definately help spool faster & make power.
If the BR3065 would spool more quickly than the PB GT30R, and came with nice headers, a nice DP and all items needed to install, and all hot parts coated for $3600 shipped, I'd probably buy it. If you know of a well built kit that will accomplish the task for $3600 or less complete, let me know.

If you want a fast spool-up, get a 20GLT (FP Green) which will spool like stock, but make 30-50 more hp fron 4000 up.
If you are ok with a little lag, a 50-trim will make the same or more power than a 3076 AND will spool faster. The 3076 is only good if you have a 2.3 stroker motor and run race gas. And even with a stroker, a BB 50-trim will out spool it and make the same power on pump gas. As for price, I'd say to try to get in on an AMS or Shearer GB. If you want good spool and have your heart set on PeakBoost, go with their top-mount kit. It'll be a little more money, but it will get you better spool-up.

I guess a 3076 is the same thing as a GT30R? I was told that it would spool faster than a normal one due to the headers and even fster if I went with the .63AR. As far as the 20G9LT goes, I want to add 65 whp on pump and 85-100 on race, I'm concerned that it wont deliver as well and I don't want to be doing this again later.
I was looking at the BR 3065 but I just read a post on hear tonight where some poor guy had one installed and it was shamefull, however, I must say that I think it was either his cam choice or the tuner, or both, cause BR doesn't put out crap. So, I appreciate your input, keep it coming as I'm trying to figure it all out, thanks.

Here is a post of Drifto's dyno graphs with the 3076 on an VIII.

I rode in scorke's car last week and it also has the GT3076. I thought it spooled very well and he was using the .82 a/r, but he also has a 2.3L. I have the GT3076 with the .82 a/r and RevHard manifold that I hope to have installed next month.
