Forge Unos stiff spring min. boost?

I am asking this here because Evo owners seem to have the most experience with this boost controller.

I have a Forge Unos. It is not on my Evo. The car has a 15 lb wastegate spring. I want adjustability between 15-30 lbs (car makes 336 hp at 15 psi, 397 at 20 psi, turbo still has plenty left in it, changing wastegate springs is a pain in the butt).

I've searched all over and can find what the ranges for the soft spring are, but I would like to know what is the average boost people see with the Unos stiff spring at the lowest setting? Will I have to switch springs to go back to 15 psi?

Please don't tell me that "every car is different", I know this, I just want raw data to think about. What is the lowest you have seen with the stiff spring?

I just did this a few days ago experimenting with the stiffer spring. I had it turned all the way down and boosted 25 psi immediately after getting into the gas a little.

If you have the stiff spring, you won't be able to go down as low as 15 assuming that your 15lb WG spring only allows a minimum of 15psi. If you use the soft spring, you can't make it up to 30. There aren't exact numbers, but it's 0-8 or so on the soft, and maybe 6-20ish on the stiff (numbers are PSI above WG pressure).

Thanks guys. I guess this isn't the boost controller I need, but since I have it I'll use it. At least changing the boost controller spring is easy, I'll keep the soft one for most uses and the stiffy for the race gas/dragstrip runs. Too bad 15lb is the weakest spring I can get for the WG.

on the evo ix's, we used a few, cars with header (or ported mani).. ic pipes, stock turbo, turboback....

were hitting 23 psi and tapering down to 18 on almost all of them....

i like this controller.... also like the hallman pro rx
