Just because the car is stock doesn't make it Mitsubishi's problem. Since you just had the clutch done I'd look at who did the clutch for you and what type of fluid they used and how much. The EVO T-case calls for specifically one type of fluid, it is VERY expensive and only available from Mitsubishi direct. A normal gear lube will not work and is sudden death to the EVO t-case.

There are very few other fluids that can be used in the EVO T-case.

Look into what the shop that changed your clutch used for fluid. I would suggest calling them and just asking a curious question and NOT accusing them of anything.

you're supposed to run mitsu diaqueen LSD gear oil in the TC and 75-85 GL-4 in the 6-speed tranny which i believe the BG isn't.

on BG's site, they don't list a weight or GL rating for this product. i wouldn't use it without knowing exactly what it is since the evo manual states to use the diaqueen super multi gear 75-85 GL-4 or an EXACT equivilent. are you sure he used the diaqueen LSD oil in your TC or just the normal diaqueen gear oil, there is a difference.

There are 2 types of Diaqueen.. If they used the incorrect one, thats why the TC is whinning cause the ring and pinion are shot.. The correct one for the tc is Diaqueen LSD oil

If the correct fluid was used the only thing i can think of is that it wasnt filled up correctly?

GL-4 goes in the tranny, the TC uses GL-5. and if you can find anything official stating that the BG is GL-4 rated, please share with us.
