now call me dumb but what does "pulling the head" entirely entail? i've been debating my options for power upgrades between meth or green turbo and thought headstuds were absolutely needed......least that's the impression I was under.

Yeah I would not even THINK of putting head studs on a bolt-on/flash car

It means just that. Taking the cylinder head off the car. Removing intake manifold, timing belt, yada. Its a sh*tty job for the most part. Not so much difficult as it is time consuming and annoying.

If the one by one method is not good then why is it that reputable shops like Buschur do it this way?

If it seriously screwed up EVO's then why would Buschur who seems to be the king of the Evo's treat the cars this way? It does not make sense to me, some please explain.

Apparently he thinks it is OK I guess....Ask him lol not us....that said, he would likely say it is better to do it the traditional way by removing the head, ensuring it is true , and using a new gasket...

I was told by Jerrod @ Buschur that is it perfectly fine to change the head studs without removing the head. That most people do it this way. I guess I just don't understand.

I also had mine done with the 1x1 method without pulling the head about a year ago and daily drive my cars without an issue since.
