Working on pics, it broke right where the threads start. How hard are the caps to remove?

I rescind my previous statement.

Don't screw around. Take it to a machine shop.

Thing is I dont trust many shops here either. I had to call over a dozen places just to get one that knew how to press my motor mount.

the machine shop would do it, it isnt anything special like building a racing head with a 9 angle valve job. it is simple but if u think u can do it go ahead.

If it will make you feel better - I work with "fully trained" people who dont even know how to use a torque wrench either. On 100 million $ equipment that is

Well I just got done and it was alot easier then I though it would be. Took about an hour for the drilling and then about 15sec. to unscrew. It came out so easy once I set it into place I was able to unscrew it with my hands. Not sure how in broke, might have been a weak bolt.

better that it broke under the wrench's power and not under the motors....that could have been bad.

Yeah, thats what I was starting to think.

Also there were ALOT of metal shavings. To keep the head clean I took a latex glove and put a small hole into it. I then slipped that over the cap. The rest of the head that was exposed I placed paper towels over. I then kept running a magnet over everything to keep the shavings cleared off.
