diesel full just makes no sense, it has to be for cleaning only...

one thing you definitely don't want to do is get diesel hot and compress it over and over again

yeah but step 9 and 10 says that you need to refill them with diesel and reinstall them to the engine as soon as possible.

mitsu may want diesel in the lifter because it is thinner than anyoil that is readially avail.

if you have a thick even 0 wieght oil it WILL blow out the seal in the lifter i assume the diesel will not seal as well and will more easily pass pass through.

you did not make a mistake by bleeding down your lifters during a cam install, you have to and if you have any noises it may be that you did not bleed them down properley.

what do you mean by pass pass through? what passes more easily engine oil and good explanation on the diesel being thinner

i used that page from the service manual when i did my install and i thought it was weird because the lifters were stiff when done, i thought they're suposed to be bled completely and allowed to fill back up by cranking the engine without starting it.

yep this also confuses me they where bled so that they wouldnt be stiff but if you reinstall them again with diesel inside them then they are stiff again
maybe its what they said above that diesel its thinner then oil thus wont damage the internal seal
