I have an ATP GT35r too.. i am not too sure if you can upgrade to a GT40R.. What A/R is your GT35R.. Mine is a .82 which is the biggest.. i would be willing to swap the hotside with you if you have a .63 A/R...
Just an option...
thanks

There is no way that the ATP hotside can turn efficiently the GT40R, even if it could be utilised, which cannot! different category of turbos mate!
And why do you want to get a GT40R if i might ask? You are asking about a MEGA POWER turbo, which demands at least 10 grand worth of other mods!
Even the GT35R is big! If you have the bog a/r keep it since you have a IX. With the Mivec and a good tuner you can lessen the lag and get satisfactory results....

I own a Evo 9 and live at 6000ft above sea level - 2000m.
I bought an ATP bolt on GR30R ATP kit and hit 415HP/405Lb on a dynapack wheel hub dyna. (pictures below are from the most stingy roling wheel dyna in town and not the dynapack) Had a few runs with a M6 and a Dodge Magnum SRT8. No contest. by the third gear im 8 car lenghts ahead.
Other supporting power mods are AMS front mount with pipes, and an Autronic ECU. Walbro fule pump and RC750cc injectros (these are at the limit now) HKS FPR running 3,5b fuel pressure, HKS silent high power exhaust with delete test pipe, and HKS EBC5.
For the money spent it is the best power mod to date. Graph attached at the fly but they are in KW and NM 367Kw/620Nm at 26psi (1,8b). (491hp/476Lb)
