Dynoed - RnR BB 50 trim & Machines Gone Wild Tuning
#16
Meth isn't that easy to comeby here, so it is kind of a hassle to source it locally as there's only 1 chemical company that imports and retails it to individuals in small amounts.
The guy loves his RnR kit with the 2.3L setup and the tune, it's much better #'s now, than what he was previously making on his higher boost stock turbo setup. IMHO the RnR kits work well for us, we're thrilled with them and have had no bad experiences with the kit ...the co. that's different LOL... and the results are pretty good. I'm not partial to any vendors kits or products, I know they all make power and I respect all of them out there AMS, Fullrace, Turbo Trix & Buschur...that's just me though.

You can run denatured alky, windshield washer fluid, water, etc etc... Just fyi incase you wanted to get meth later, plus the AEM has a bunch of things you can do to failsafe yourself with meth as well.

Warrt, stop hating and flaming all the time. The customer loves his setup. Let him enjoy it without anyone getting on his as$...
Nice setup man, take that thing to the track and lets see some times

Slight risk although the good kits have failsafes now to reduce/remove that risk, and there are no headaches associated with it. Are you saying that a full stroker motor and standalone ECU are less of a "headache" and have less risk than a simple meth injection kit? Surely not...

I'd be happy with the power for those mods running 90oct. Good God, my **** has a higher octane rating than that stuff.
I'd agree that the spool and peak torque do look a little off for a BB 50trim/2.3l combo. For reference, I'm running a non-BB RNR 50trim kit on a 2.0l. I see 19-20psi by 4.1-4.2k and 26psi by 4.4-4.5k logged via map sensor.

Remember this is only @ 21/20psi of boost on 90 oct....if it was on race gas or meth and boost was turned up to 26+ psi with a more aggressive tune it would spool much quicker and make more power & torque.

im not trying to bash at all, or jump on the band wagon at all...
but everything on that mod list says spool, spool, spool/ torque pig!
just seems like somethings wrong other than octane???

There is probably less timing everywhere with that almost REGULAR gas. Torque suffers horribly with 20-21psi and low timing from the crap gas. Pretty much explains it all. I would not waste any time if I had to deal with that gas. Alcohol injection would be on my top list of things to do. You just cant do much with that low of octane. I guess you could buy a domestic and put a big block in it.

That same setup with 23psi and some 93octane would be fine. Im suprised it even hit 400whp with 90. I honestly think thats impressive!
