Tial external wastegate problem

Ok guys I have been having issues with my external 38 mm tial on my GT3076. It was warm today so I re-routed my Forge UNOS vac lines, my line to the WG wasent long enough so I put the car together w/o that line and went off to the parts store. So I get on the gas to see when the WG would open w/o the MBC to see what spring is in the tial (everyone has been asking me and I never knew) and up to 35 psi for a second and no external WG sound....... So can the tial get "gunked up" and no work? can the tial have no spring? (car had a EBC when I bought it) I am takeing off my exhaust mani and hotside to have PPI port/polish them so I will pull apart my WG. I just want to know what I am looking for thanks all.

Use an air compressor and make sure the valve is working properly.

Without that line i think it will just continue to boost without bleeding off any.

I assume you at least have the bottom port referenced to boost.

If the car didn't have the vacuum line attached it won't open at all, therefore it will over boost to as high as it can go before you let off the throttle...be careful!

Yes when the mbc is hooked up I use the side nipple, it works fine that way, except the WG beigins to open at 14-15psi to 23 where I have it set at on 93 oct.
My question is why dosent it open at say 14 psi like the stock failsafe?

You take the vacuum line off of any wastegate (stock or aftermarket) and it will not open up at all!
