believe it or not the 35r had a much more smoother band and did not hit soo abruptly as the 50 trim. I think if your comparing to a light switch its almost reverse.

Turbo's

I actually had a Gt3076 on my stock 2.0 and couldn't stand the lag. So now I am looking at the same two turbo options myself. I like the AMS stuff and they are really close to me and have tned my car before. If my wife hadn't surprised me with a baby on the way I would be no dought going with the kings of quality AMS. Based on my spending options at this time I am going to be forced to go with the LT setup and a manifold. My concern is the power it can put down at like 21psi on pump and my mod's. Currently my car is at 320awhp tuned at AMS with my sign. mod's. What are your thoughts please. Thanks,

The 20glt maxxed out at 450whp and 450 torque on Buschur Racing's Mustang dyno. That would roughly equate to 515whp on a typical Dynojet.
The Green may never surpass the peak whp of a 50trim (will likely come very close), but don't forget that it's going to make more torque - important when considering a turbo for your daily driver...

Their both good turbo's, the nice thing about most 50trim kits is that you can upgrade to a larger turbo if you ever feel the need without replacing the manifold.

Not as easy with the 20g-lt, but if your just looking for a fun, stock looking, daily driver, the 20g-lt is the way to go.

So, my advice would be to look at where you want your car to ultimatly end up and start heading in that direction.

In post number five I said that it will also make more torque.

If I had spent $4,000 on my AMS 50trim kit on the stock 2.0 liter I would feel the same.

The FP green is a good upgrade for those who can get some extra power with little to no sacriface in spool and i'm sure with meth and the right cam combo w/ correct supporting mods this turbo will haul *** especially on the stock 2.0 liter.

And with the AMS kit I have now, it gives me the option to upgrade to a 35R/37R which is in my plans for the future.

I'm not ragging on the 20G-LT, I think for people on a limited budget this is the right turbo for them...

I wanted to go the big power route but going to go the suspension/track car route.

Good luck with your build.

Not everyone wants 35R power and lag.
