Creamo 3 may have trappped higher than me with a 50 trim but I've got him by 3 tenths and that was with a 20g-9 and 366whp on BR's dyno. (see my sig)

Now, with 411whp I'm hoping (fingers crossed) for 128 mph traps and maybe a 10 sec. pass on a 20g-LT.

what was your 60'

These prices are to convert YOUR turbo to a LT, not exchange, correct ???

Mudduck made it sound like you could send FP an VIII turbo and $999 and get a new FPGreen in return (see post 103).
If that was the case, then nobody would be buying these straight up.

Correct...if you do an exchange, then they refund you the difference so the price you pay, after everything is said and done and they receive your old turbo after you've received the green, is $999 (if sending in an 8 turbo).

Wrong. You send YOUR turbo back to them AFTER you get your FP Green, so how could it be YOUR turbo you're getting back again?

Note, buying an FP Green turbo via this exchange route will get you a rebuilt Green turbo using someone else's core (although many of the major parts are replaced; thus essentially new...) The completely NEW Green turbos are still $1700.

You might wanna relax with those caps, especially when you're wrong.

If you can convert the turbo using exchange-basis, OR you can send yours in as the core, and just wait to get it back if you don't mind having your car down for a while.

This isn't hard to understand people, dunno why there's so many people who are confused on a consistent basic in every FP Green/20GLT thread on here....

The AMS 50 trim and the 20glt spool almost the same. I have the AMS 50 trim and I put down 417 whp. On 93 octane and stock clucth and stock ECU. Do the math. I wouldnt even think twice again with the turbo that I want anymore. I am glad I didnt go with the 20glt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no denying the AMS kit is sick, but some people might not mind spending 3 grand less for performance thats a not too far under (in terms of peak hp) the 50 trim.

Yes, this is TRUE. Buy an Evo8 turbo (w/ 10.5 hotside...why go 9.8) for $250. Send it in. Get an EvoGreen back for $999. Total cost for a Green is approx. $250 + $999 + $45 f/ porting = $1294 + shipping/insurance.

I looked at a few used 8 turbos, but the hotsides were unacceptably rusted (for my tastes). I purchased a used 9 turbo (which has a hotside made out of a new material-F5- IIRC) and sent that in. I paid 500 bucks. $500 + $849 = $1349. I am having a friend port the turbo. SHipping and handling was $18, so I paid $1367 OTD.

Hope this clears things up. The core charge, for me, only clouds the issue.

50trim lag on an Evo IX - not that I've seen.

Speaking in terms of the Evo IX dyno sheets I've seen, the 50trim spools nearly identical to stock. Of course that's with a good tuner, but it's maybe 1-200rpms later which is pretty hard to tell.
