Quick question about ultimate racing test pipe

i did some research on the ultimate racing test pipe and i know that it comes with a mech fix on it so it wont throw a cell...but my question is, is it just a plug and play type of install? i know its a direct bolt on..but will it need some modifications? thanks for the help...

I installed the UR test pipe along with the XS turbo cat back system/dp. THe UR test pipe came with a welded on bung, and my O2 sensor fit right in. I didnt have to do any mods for it to fit or to the O2 bung for my O2 sensor. As far as plug and play, i would say it was. No cel after the install.

Like Neuspeed06 said. It already comes with a bung welded in on. No changes need to be made at all. I had this tp on my 8 and now the 9 without one cel . Theres 2 ways to install it. 1 with the bung at the bottom. 2 with it on top. I choose to turn it so the bung was on the top. If you turn it to put the bung on the bottom it sits lower than the frame rails and you risk ripping the sensor and bung off. One good speed bump or pot hole and there it goes

Honestly I wouldn't get this test pipe..

Id sell you mine if you wan't it..

You have to extend the o2 sensor from in the catback to the test pipe.

You can buy 02 extenders very cheap to fix your CEL and not have to relocate your 02 sensor. I don't like lots of wires running around under my car.

Also welds looked like **** on mine. Wasn't welded on the inside. and inner dimisions miced out to like 2.8 if i remember correctly. Gaskets are also junk that comes with it.l

Dont forget that the IX's O2 sensor is in the center of the cat so we dont have to extend it from the front of the catback (VIII O2 location).

So with the IX its for sure plug and play

No issues with EVO VIII => removed front passenger seat, push the wires down and extend them to the bong - unbolt old cat and bolt on delete pipe - takes about an hr or less. No Check engine - works nice! Instant HP (I felt like I gained about 15 or so), plus you loose about 16 lbs or so. And I'm using the 2.5" wide delete pipe (works with the stock exhaust pipes). Also deleted the muffler: total weight savings of 30 lbs, and added abt 20~25 hp; sounds gr8 too.
