Stock shortblock, stock head, new record numbers for the EVO Green turbo
This is the highest whp numbers I have seen from any car other than my own with the green. These are the highest torque numbers I have seen including my own car.
This car belongs to Bobby K., he ran 11.2 at 124 mph last year on pump and alky with the 20g-9-5 on the car. This year you can bet he is going to rip off a 10 second pass with the car.
Car has Stages 1-4 on it. 272 cams. BR Race FMIC, BR upper/lower pipes. Small battery etc. Stock cylinder head, stock spring/retainers, stock shortblock. The car is of course tuned with an AEM EMS on 780 cc injectors and a single pump. Stock fuel lines, stock rail, stock regulator.
430 whp, 453 ft lbs of torque on C16 at 33 psi.
On pump gas with alky the car made 420 hp and 430 ft lbs of torque at 31 psi.
It's going to be a fun year for us and our customers..........tracks are starting to open.

Damn that guy's car is a freak. He went 124mph on the 20G-9-5 when everyone else other than DB himself was going 122mph or so with it on methanol. Now he makes the record power on the Green for those mods. He's doing something right!

It never ceases to amaze me how you and Dan can extract so much power from these little 2 liters.
Now if it would only stop raining / snowing long enough to get some 1/4 numbers.
BTW- I would have landed yesterday but was with our check airman.

I've put a green on a stroker, with smaller cams it worked good, with BF272 cams it did not work well at all. Too small for a stroker AND BIG cams.
The car is an EVO8.
It makes great power because he listens to what we tell him........you can buy crap or you can buy good parts. You can listen to guys who do this for a living and get what they suggest or you can listen to some keyboard expert and make crap for power.
The cams are HKS 272's. The exhaust is not ours. Not sure what it is, all 3" nice looking design, no reducers etc.
He is an excellent driver, has to be one of the fastest shifters I have ever seen.
The car would suck with a reflash. I've already said if you upgrade the turbo, you need to upgrade fuel management...........that's my opinion, valued by some and spit on by others.
