evo recaro seat problem

i just noticed that the fabic is lose on the driver side seat, i mean..it is not attach to the cushion or whatever that is behind the fabic, i am talking about the center part (blue textured part) not the side...anybody have the same problem, but when i sit on it, it is fine..i am about 180lbs, does weight cause the fabric on the seat to come lose? if i take it to dealer, will they replace it for me? i only have the car for a week.. about 700 miles on it... thanx in advance

It should be normal. Both of my seats do that, as well as both of my friends' who have EVO's as well...

This is happening on my Evo also. The fabric is stretching a bit. All seat fabrics do this to a certain extent over time.

I think it has a lot to do with my seating position. I find that I am putting a lot of weight onto that center back cushion....

that should be covered under warranty... if you look at old posts about regular lancers, a lot of people had that problem and the dealer replaced the seats more than 90% of the time...

silvrevo, Are you looking really close? I think what the original poster is talking about is a slight "slack" in the seat back squab only. Not a big gaping drape of stretched fabric.

If you aren't looking for it, it's quite easy to overlook. I only noticed it when I vacumed the seats over the weekend. The vac held onto the material a little more than it did on the other seats.

I havnt noticed the seat fabric, but the carpet sucks assss!!!!

Goto vacum that and the whole thing lifts up... but im not *****ing about that, it just isnt glued down at all. I do like the floor mats being velcroed down , that is really nifty, no wondering floor mat under the pedals.

I am experiencing the same problem, except that its occuring on the side bolsters, where the fabric comes off. I'm going to have this checked up pretty soon.

Man that is soooo true. My only real complaint about the Evo is the CRAP carpet and even floormats. Very poor quality. Cant wait to get some MOMO floormats so at least that is taken care of.

thank you for ur replies guys..i should take it to the dealer sometime this week..see what they have to say about them..but i had sparco seats for my previous car, and about 2 years there were no problems at all..
and these recaros looks like they didnt glue down or stretch before they sew it.. i am sure this is some kind of defect, because when i feel the passenger side it is nice and firm, glued on the cushion. i hope they will replace it for me under waranty because it just doesnt look right
