What tray are you using? Or how did you mount it?

Correct, the Deka is shorter and fatter.

Just to bump up the thread so people can see the info I posted 4 years ago. I still have my original ETX14 in the car. It sits for months at a time stored in my garage for the winters and only gets an occasional charge when sitting. For the cost and fact that it's lasted me 4 years it's an awesome deal. I'm expecting it will need replacement sometime this year, and i'll happily buy another. $15 a year for a battery is not a big deal to me.

It's the same battery as the "braille racing battery" although they will deny it.

You can also find this same battery re-labeled under the "Carquest" brand with the same ETX14 part number.

I called East Penn directly with my questions. I run this battery now in my car.

I made my setup for around $80

Nice man! So when you say you store it in your garage is it still connected to the car or is it out? Do you use a battery tender when you aren't using it? Thanks.

I've been using a walmart 51 series honda battery for over a year now.

~450CCA 2yr warranty
-Stock battery tray cut to fit
-Drilled new holes to mount tie downs
-Reused tie downs, but cut the threads on one to make it shorter
-ebay honda battery tie down, $8 shipped
-works great with Muse UICP

The battery stays in the car, and I put a tender on it maybe 2-3 times during the winter for a few days. I'm really impressed how well it's held up so far.

How did you change the connectors to mate with the battery? The main reason I stuck with Deka was because the local Walmart/Sears batteries didn't have positive and negative connectors that would fit.

The standard Honda Civic/Acura Integra batteries have the same battery terminals.

Factory terminals work fine. Negative was replaced because the stock one broke.

That sounds pretty good. I couldn't find it at my Walmart though. How much does it weigh?

So the battery model ET-X14 would fit any mini battery kit like a busher kit right....or is this battery just for modded kits?

Why not take a look at the measurements of the two batteries? IIRC the ET-X14 was slightly wider but shorter than the pc680 in both height and length.
