Does anyone know if the "Braille all season battery" #B2015 is then the same as the EXT20L ? Seems like by the dimensions, it is the same...

I was planning on getting the slightly larger Braille battery #B2015, due to cold climate where I live, not that much heavier or much larger than the EXT14L and then should not have any issues with AC and stereo components.

Any Thoughts...

Jeller

I am pretty sure the Deka ETX14 is a little too wide to fit the Buschur tray. The Odyssey PC680 that they use is a tight fit, and the Deka is about 10mm wider.

Are you sure? I have the buschur tray and I'm torn from buying the 680 and the deka....the deka being half the price of the Odyssey PC680

I've been running it for 7000 miles! My friend has this battery for a year and never had a single problem!

UPDATE/REVIEW:

I used the EXT20L but I got it at carquest near my house. Its a bit larger than the
EXT14L But seems to be comparable to the Braille B2015 (they call this the all season lightweight battery). Weighs in at 15lbs. and a bit higher CC# than the Ext14L.

Only issue is that it may not fit most of your battery trays, As I think its slightly larger. I have a pretty simple/homemade tray that I modded to accept this.

I have had the battery on my car for about a month now with no issues. I live in Buffalo NY and its pretty cold here most of the time, about 20-30* average lows.

I will say that if I probably didnt drive the car everyday, it maybe an issue, running this small battery in such cold temps. I will post up some pics this week.

Pics?

Those 4 lbs are a small price to pay for reliability -- even on a dedicated race car.

I just bought one of these Deka EXT14 batteries. I have a question for the guys using it. Does it come with the male terminals on top? or does this have only a female inlets on the top & side?

thanks in advance!

I've been using the ETX14 since last summer (2007). I've had no problems with this battery whatsoever, and I drive my car often.
