big power 37r guys...

I know theres alot of info out there about these turbos and the their power. However they tend to leave out a small detail. What size A/R are you guys using. Ive got a 35R with a .63 that makes good power and still hits super hard. My tuner keeps telling me to goto a .82 housing but i know from my Grand National days those housing caused alot of lag. My question is can i goto a 37R with a .63 AR and still get these big power numbers or will i have to get a .82 housing (more lag) to get the 700whp number? Any advice appreciated.

I use the .68 / T4 back housing.

Although i have a 2.3 but i really have no lag. Pretty sure ill make over 7xx (just speculation from pretty good pump numbers). I think .63 will be fine on the 37 as well on a 2.0 (if thats what you have).

Good luck.

just wondering, with your current setup - 35r w/ .63 + 2.3? - when is turbo spooling-up? At what rpm do you see 21psi of boost? Any pump 93 numbers?

I'm trying to figure out what a 2.3 + 35r with a .63 would be like for a pump gas daily driver...

Russel, here is a good thread about what you are looking for answered

The car had a 35r with .63 hotside and a 2.3 stroker(like you)
and went to a 37r also with a .63 hotside, the only change was installing this turbo and slight tuning change.Picked up some serious HP and lost .4 in the 1/4 mile and picked up aprox 8 mph trap speeds. You make your own conclusion but I know what I would be doing

Fynetune had a car with the .63 AR. There was a thread with it making 69x. I think if you search you will find it. I heard it made over 7xx at a later date.
