Exedy single plate organic clutch
Hey guys, I'm getting the following clutch put in my car as the stocker is starting to slip (after 44k miles)- I don't drive th car hard, but will push it from time to time. I've got all the basic bolton's and an SAFC-II so probably pushing around 290WHP.
Just thought I'd get some others opinions on this clutch. I've heard it's great for a DD with easy driving and not a ton of power behind it, which is exactly my predicament.I don't race or launch it hard.

My stock clutch toasted at about 40K too so I decided to go with exedy s1 - budget.
If your referring to the Exedy stage one (elcheapo $350) it's holding fine after 5000miles, with about three 1.7 60', and over 360whp.
Be very thurough adjusting it afterwards or you can easily roast it at 1000 miles without even knowing.

I've had the Exedy for a few thousand miles now and I've got no major complaints. The only drawback would be chatter and it does have somewhat of a hard engagement. I'm getting ready to slap on my SS clutchline and with a little bit of peddle adjustment I think it'll come out just fine. So, I'd say get it!

I'm working on getting a quote for a centerforce dual friction with an organic/metallic full face on one side and a metallic type material Puck on the other side. It's a bit more but not much and I'd only be over my budget by like $150
