22.8 Mpg E85
Well this friday my O2 took a crap so I ended up going into ECUFlash and turning off my O2 feed back. I then went out and tuned the cruise at 15.2-16.0 range. The car does not feel or drive any different this way.
I took a road trip today with ripping on it quite a few times and made it 297mi til I ran out of gas and it took 13gal to fill it back up. (Had 17gal in the trunk)
This is almost 100mi more out of a tank than I was getting with the O2 feed back. Also the ECU never thew any codes in the 350mi I went today.
At this point I don't think running it this lean will hurt anything but I really don't know. I will find out for myself and let you know if it does. So don't tell me it will hurt somthing unless you have proof yourself that it can.
Only fuel mods are 255hp, 850FIC inj and flash tuning. Have ran about 200gal of
E85 through and no problems yet.
From my tuning gas will start to drive bad much leaner than a 16.0 and E85 seems to be about a 17.0.

Lucas that is plain sick. After my recent upgrades I got 25.6 on the way down to Vancouver and from Vancouver around the loop it dropped to 20mpg on 92.
Before anyone says anything tuning E85 with a gas scale WB results in the AFR that the E85 needs to still run properly.

I wonder if your NOx emissions are really high because of the lean condition. Some direct injection european cars (VW GTI comes to mind) have a lean run mode that allows them to get very, very good mileage. However this feature is disabled on US spec cars because
a) it damages US cats
b) it produces high levels of NOx emissions.
