Yes you need test pipe or high flow cat / downpipe. because they are using 3 bolt flanges. I belive.

The AMS catback will bolt right up to the factory cat. You do not need a downpipe or test pipe. we use a special adapter flange

now if you had some other catback and wanted to put our downpipe or test pipe on it, that will not work. Our down pipe will only bolt to our test pipe/ Cat and Catback.

the adapter piece is all you need. I just installed my AMS cat back with Helix HFC and TTP downpipe. Sounds mean!

 

alright i got jic magic downpipe with 3' straight pipe how would that sound u think??
i just want a really nice deep sounding exhaust at idle and really nice wot...
