Hmmm,

If it's "normal" then why are they replacing the gearbox and transfer case. I'm really starting to hate that word when it's used by Mitsubishi

I think that is there way of getting out of paying for a rental cause if it's "normal" and safe to drive they have no reason to provide you a rental.

It's going to be another couple weeks before they get the transmission in from Japan.
