Tial surge even with EMS?

Well I know all those threads say youre fine with VTA as long as you have EMS. Well I have autronic, and when in 5th gear, around 65-70mph; if i try to give it gas, it will studder, and buck sometimes. Then even theres times where I will WOT it from 65+ mph, and itll still studder and buck.
This is all surge, correct?
I am starting to think it is just the Tial BOV. I have a 9psi spring, and I am running on low boost with the 3065 turbo, only about 20psi because of a problem with the turbo kit.
My major engine mods are:
FP3065 Buschur turbo kit (coming off soon)
4g64 bottom end
Tial BOV w/ 9psi spring (possibly gonna change if i find this is the problem)
Autronic PnP EMS

So my orig question is, is it the Tial BOV that is at fault?

Question, why only 9 lbs? Is there some thing else wrong or pending in your build that might be a variant at work here?>

Why 9lb spring? Idk from what I read, and asked Buschur themself, they said 9lb spring was good.

Try the 7lb spring. I used the 9 and it didnt seem to buck that bad at highway speeds. The 11 and 12 are pretty harsh.

Also not to be "that guy" but I happen to have a 7psi spring that i can sell you lol. I used it for a day but since I DO NOT have EMS, the car drove like absolute crap. I have the 11psi spring in there and it drives OK now. Luckily, my brother has a Tial on his 1G DSM and he had a couple springs.

The springs have nothing to do with how much boost your running. The springs are rated by vacuum.

if your vacuum is 15, you need a 7 psi spring. its weird but the spring is rated by 1/2 the vacuum in inches of mercuruy. if your idling at 15 inches, then you need a 7 psi spring and it sounds like its not opening

On a side note.......

I've read that you can open the TiAL BOV housing and shim the 7-lb spring to increase the spring pressure to mimic the stiffer springs.

Can anybody verify this?

While it's obvious to most of you guys already, I just realized, that I am an idiot. Just figured out were talking about blow off valve's. See post 2 for reference.
