Engine Torque Damper Brand ?

I'm getting ready to purchase a Engine Torque Damper and i am trying to find out which brand to buy. I see the weapon R or the Ingalls Stiffy. The price is the same but i just want to see if anybody purchased any of these or if they had any problems on any of these? Thanks !

let it breath, does it take alot of the drive train lash away or do you need mounts with it too?

The Weapon R one is garbage.

Have you changed your mounts yet?

Skip the damper, waste of time and money.

Put an upgraded front engine mount in the car and do the job right. We have them for $45.

I have had the Ingalls Stiffy for about a year. No complaints. Have it set about halfway and most of the Evo's trademark stutter is gone.

I have a solid front mount and the ingalls stiffy. With 280 cams, I get a good massage at idle.

Ive had the Stiffy for just about a year, and definately still enjoy it to this day. I get the opportunity to work on other Evos from time to time, and notice how badly they actually shift from the factory. From the start, mine didnt seem that bad.

I have the Stiffy set a little more than half way stiff. Little to no interior rattles, much smoother shifting and minimal drivetrain lash. Pricey unit, but does work quite well and is quite adjustable.

After the Stiffy, I installed a Works short shifter and the 8pc Kartboy bushings. Those two further improved shifting.

The weapon R and ingalls damper are identical.
It's up to you, but I wouldn't waste my money on the ingalls.

I have compared them side by side internally and externally.
