we have had the same problems with break up even with the dli2 on C16...

our stock ecu'd 35R project car made 450whp on our mustang dyno at 23 psi on pump gas (kind of lean though)... and on race fuel we had spark issues at over 26psi....

awesome numbers!! i have an AEM sitting on my workbench, but i dont want to put it on until I feel ive exploited the full potential of the setup with the stock ecu!

cb

well done! probably a beastly stock ecu'd car

Congrats. You and I have a lot in common! I have a 3.5inch GM Maf and a Maf Translator but never installed it. Good luck on fine tuning that C16 map.

One more thing, how is that Mustang dyno set up. Like a dynojet? or Like Gruppe-S etc, which reads low.

curt when we first started road tuning, the spark was getting blew out at 30 psi. since then we change the plugs and gapped them down to .23 and it never had a problem anymore. we are running bpr8eix. so you would think they were good enought for 36psi. trust me no need for the aem, lol. we think if we could john up to fix my tuning over his map, that we could get at least 20 more if not more!!!! we hope!!!!!!!

we havent had to many tests, to see if its any different than bushurs, but we had a stock evo 8 make 250 and 258, right after we got done with this car!!!!! so it reads pretty good especially for tuning!!

A bone stock 8 makes 250-258 whp on their (418Racing) mustang dyno?! I think that one probably reads a bit more like a dynojet. I believe a stock 8 on Buschurs heartbreaker dyno makes around 210 whp. Still nice job, nonetheless!

wen i had my car tuned by chris at taylors down there i made 350/337 i think? somwhere in those number and that was with a tbe, cams, fuel, fmic.....after i did my 3065 and got tuned at buschur i made 333/280 on buschurs dyno....so there is definately a difference in the dyno's....taylors seems to read close to a dynojet
