question about replacing 02 housing and downpipe

I recently ordered a megan catback, dc sports downpipe w/ cat delete and ttp o2 housing. I've read in several places it is smart to replace the OEM EVO o2 Housing / Turbo Outlet Gasket when changing the O2 housing. Any truth behind this? Also, will I need a 3' downpipe exhaust gasket to mate the dp to the catback? Sorry if these are newbish questions but I'm not to educated in the exhaust area and I was hoping to do the install myself. Thanks for any help!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I just figured out the answer to my own question, if your mating a new 3 in. dp to a new 3 in. catback the old smaller gasket won't work therefore a 3 ' gasket will be required?

You use stock metal O2 housing gasket from hotside to O2.

Incorrect. He won't need the gasket that fits between the turbine housing and the exhaust manifold since he won't be separating the two .

You can use the gasket thats in place right now between your cat and cat-back. I have the DC Sports DP and it came with some gaskets for install anyway........youl have one less gasket to deal with where the cat normally bolts to the DP

I think I fu**** myself, i don't need the new o2 gasket and the downpipew/ cat delete comes with a gasket to mate to the cat back, O well, I guess... Emissions are gonna suck, should have just bought a downpipe with a test pipe and cat to switch out for emissions... thanks for the help though

+1. The gasket is metal and does not need replacing.

Hint Hint. I know this because TTP told me this before install mine a little while back. Thanks TTP.
