I'm ordering gsc s1 cams in about a week and a half. I want a bigger turbo down the road *and 400whp on pump* I get 93 octane in my area and don't fill up with anything but that. I want to safely achieve 400 whp on pump gas. I want the smallest turbo to do so. I don't want to run race gas to get it, and I'm not a fan of meth. I think this is possible? Maybe some of you gurus can help out. Thanks a bunch!

 

should be able to if you have cams, tb, intake, ebc, and good tune!

 

From what I hear the gsc s1s are pretty kickass. I have a hallman pro rx, one of those maf adapters with the kn filter. I bought the car used by the way, but I know a LOT about the tuning world. Had a wrx before this. Glad I got an evo finally though. A throttle body? You mean intake manifold or intake like aem intake or whatever. I dont' like the rig I have, I want to get the buschur intake. Theres a pretty dang good tuner in my area too.

 

I have GSC S1 cams in my 8 now. Look at my sig and click on the link to view my dyno sheet. Very far from 400whp. Def need a larger turbo. Especially you because you have a 9.8 hot side and my 05 is 10.5.

You should be able to make 400whp on pump gas at around 21-23psi as long as you have ALL the correct supporting mods.

 

Dude I'm not trying to make 400 whp on cams alone lol. I'm looking to add the evo green turbocharger. Supporting mods? Right now I have a downpipe *no clue who* test pipe *again no clue* and guess what a catback who I don't know who made it. I have the hallman pro rx cranked to 19-20 right now. Fuel pump in the mail, ordering an o2 housing soon and I wanted to get a tubi manifold. I would get the appropriately sized injectors. Oh I have that maf adapter thing but I don't like it, so I'll probably get the buschur intake. I kinda wanted to get the buscur deluxe fmic and uicp.

Oh yeah, can't forget the gsc s1s too.

 

You need a FMIC, piping, injectors (680-750s will do). Buschur intake is a good idea. Dont bother puting this turbo on with stock FMIC and stock piping as you wont even come close to hitting 400whp. This turbo is to be put on when y ou have basically maxxed out the stock turbo completely. The turbo should always be the last thing you upgrade.

 

I know I gotcha, I listed the buschur deluxe fmic, it comes with the licp. So I'd have to buy the uicp.

 

You probably only need a LICP with 21-22psi. I haven't read about anyone gaining much on the dyno from just the UICP, other than throttle response.

400whp + on pump gas seems like a very feasible target.

 

Thats good to hear. Yeah I want 400 whp even more would be nice, preferably out of this turbo because I hear the spool is great. I don't want my car to be on the ragged edge of a tune just to hit it though. I still want a reliable car, or at least, as reliable as a car can be pumping 400 whp.
Also ~ is there anybody on here who has accomplished what I'm trying to do?

 

You are runing the exact same set up i am (except i know i have BR 3inch from the turbo out) I too just ordered a fuel pump and O2 and my goal is 400whp on my evo 9. You wouldnt happend to be named dominick like me would you.

 

im gunna go with the Buschur race front mount and all there intercooler piping, Ported and jet coated ex manifold, 750 injectors, GSC S1 cams and GSC valvesprings with cromo retainers and ARP head studs. I want to see what the stock turbo will safely max out at before i upgrade.
