New lightweight parts and safety items on their way...
It's been a long winter and spring is here. With it is going to come a release of some new cool parts not available anywhere else.
We have had our car (black 8 second EVO) in at the chassis shop having the cage changed slightly, a parachute installed and some other changes made. While it was there we wanted to be able to make some parts nobody else was to re-sell.
Today the first of these parts showed up for test fitment. Main goal is weight savings/clearance and safety for the parts we are going to be bringing to market in the next few weeks.
This first part is quite simple. Clears up a little room for larger turbos on the compressor outlet and mostly just cleans up the underside of the car and drops 6.2 pounds of weight. If you do not already have an upgraded front engine mount it also incorporates that into the build.
Here are two pictures of the new front cross member we will be releasing in the next week or so. I want to powder coat them black as soon as we get the first batch in.
We have two more pieces coming, one for weight savings again and the other is a safety item that will bolt in.
I do not have any pricing yet as I have not gotten the bill on the parts. This is just a sneak preview. Complete piece should be under $200.
Thanks for checking it out.

I will have to admit, that looks very impressive and thoughtful. I would love to see how that stands up to your Evo, especially where the bar is welded to the mounting plates. I am subscribed for updates.

curious, the forward subframe bar thing that goes across the lower a-arm points uses that beam you replaced for one of the bolts, did you remove the subframe bar altogether? or just not use the one bolt that goes in the beam.
also, was there going to be any replacement for the tow hook loop? or just not use one? (thats prolly of no concern to most)
what is the actual weight savings of the replacement bar vs the stock beam?
last, what material and thinkness did you use for it? i wouldn't want an .028" motor mount support :P

I would kinda want to see some gussets on the mounting flange for more ridgedness. I am really digging this bar, just picture this thing polished! (yes i know it is under the car, but bling is still bling)
