No Boost!!

Hi,

I tried to search with no success because I couldnt really find the right keywords!

Now this is not happening with MY evo!

A friend of mine owns a Evo9 RS (11,000kms) BONE STOCK, not a single mod except a turbo timer.. Car was running great, he was changing gear at high rpm and suddenly the car stopped boosting.. Check engine light came on, turned out to be 'warm up catalyst not efficient'.. Nothing else, just that the car is not showing a single sign of boost! I did an evoscan and the car showed knocks from 4~6K, about 5to6 knocks at every log.. Otherwise NO BOOST!

- He checked for all clamps for leaks, even removed the f.bumper to tighten all clamps

- Surprisingly, the RS has TWO solenoids?! Funny, i didnt know that! but all pipes are wired ok, nothing seems to be tampered with..

Maybe some input from the guys will help!

Thanks..

Wael

Not sure but it was probably the sand's fault.

but seriously it was probably something to do with the installation of the turbo timer

Could it be boost solenoid is fried, or the actuator is not 'actuating' coz it's stuck or smthg? :-)

Maybe the accuator arm fell off of the wastegate, it has happend to me before, and makes the car drive fine, but with no boost what so ever. Check it out, I bet the pin the held it in place fell it. This is only if the car drives fine, but produces 0 boost.
