No check engine light after test pipe install

So I just installed my test pipe and downpipe on the evo. Screwed in the o2 to the midpipe of the catback... From my understanding the check engine light should have come on, correct? Any reason it might not have come on? Thanks.

Its luck of the draw really. When I had my testpipe I was able to just screw in the O2 sensor without any foulers and never got a CEL for the that. Then again some people get it right away.

Usually it takes a highway trip to trigger a CEL when using a test pipe.

I tried that spark plug anti-fouler trick and it didn't fit. The threads were right, it just wasn't big enough in dia. I ordered a fix from Gruppe-S for $13.99, I heard they work great. Does your car spool OK now? I can't run all the boost I was before, even if I crank up the BC.
