Evo owners with/without a catalytic convertor
#17
there was significant difference between the Randomtech unit and the UR unit...
Randomtech is a metallic type cat while the UR is ceramic... I think the UR is rated in the mid 400 cfm and the Randomtech is rated at 607 cfm...
of course the noise increased a little as the car is flowing more...
the same will happen when i change the hfc to the testpipe... eventhought that the car breaths pretty well, now that i am full bolt-ons the cat is killing the power up top, probably around 10whp maybe more...
when i do the switch i will try to make a dyno comparison, if the shop has free time... No bs promotion "buy this vendor's stuff they are the best" type of test, just plain curiosity... and no games with dyno corrections... soon...
