HELL ya that's what i like to hear, yo sti's stock have more hp than evos do, but still the quarter mile is the same, so what does that prove............... evos are better designed technologically and pysically

There are a million factors to consider. Spool up, weight of the drivers, driving styles, tune and many many other variables. I would definately not use the power just for a reference.

I know of a few people on this forum with minimal dyno numbers completely crushing other counterparts with much more power.

I beat a STI with exhaust, MBC, and twin disc clutch. All I have is TBE in my IX. He saw that he couldn't take me so he wouldn't honk properly and just take off. But one race when we both went off at the same time I beat it by 3 car lengths.

The 1/4-mile is always from a dig...

I don't know. Haven't you heard of the infamous SRT4 rolling 1/4-mile start?

The gearing in the STI's transmission is what really kills them. They wont trap nearly the speeds we will in the 1/4 mile with the same hp.

Yeah if they were smart, they'd save money for an 07 STi transmission instead of making more power.
