Friggin Silencer stuck in Muffler! *UPDATE*
I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get the silencer out of my brand new Megan exhaust pipe. I have not put it on yet. I went out and bought wd-40 and vise grips with no luck. The silencer is all F-ed up. I wasn't going to use it anyway. I don't know why they use 2 screws to hold it in and then feel the need to hammer 2 dents to permanently wedge it in.
I called Megan and they told me to put the exhaust on and get it super hot and spray wd-40 on it. Sounds like I will F up the pipe even more by spraying a chemical on a burning hot exhaust and then probably burn the **** out of my hand!
Any suggestions besides send it back.... That is my last option. Will heating it up expand the Ti tip enough to loosen up the silencer???
Pissed off and frustrated.
***UPDATE*** 4 hours later
I wanted the exhaust in today. Very anxious. So I took it to a local muffler shop. They tried the same things I did with no luck. Finally they shoved a cone shaped device in the hole and expanded it and yanked it out. I paid $50 for them to put in the test pipe and cat back. I wanted to install it myself but o-well.
The sound is awesome. Seems almost quieter than stock at idle. A little deeper. Spools faster and my turbo is louder. Looks amazing. Fitment was great.
THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP

Use a slide hammer with a hook on it......that will get it! Make sure you have some help to keep pressure on the hook when your sliding the hammer section. This is what they use for removing dents, axles, etc. Should be able to borrow one from a local parts store.

Yes I vote for the put it on and let it heat up.. metal expands as it heats up.. nothing a good pair of gloves won't solve. My megan one was wedged in pretty tight. Remember when you pull it out you need to pull it out EVENLY. ie rocking it back and forth and around. It'll only further wedge it if you just hold one end and drag it around.
Trust me, the heat will do wonders for expanding the metal.

this is that i would do run the car for about 15 min hose down the inside of the muffler and instead of trying to pull it out trying to get it to rotate grab it with hmm possibly a vice grip
