Evo Green Dyno Sheet on 05 Evo with minimal mods

This was a interesting car

05 Evo 8
Stock air box and fmic pipes
Evo Green
HKS 272
Ebay Exhuast with cat
Joe P MBC
Walbro pump
680 Injectors

This tune was at 22 psi pump gas 93 octane

A little laggier than with a stock turbo not much in the way of gains up top - it seems to hold the boost and power a bit better on the top end

Surely, more mods are needed to extract the full potential of the Evo Green - but none the less a great looking dyno sheet

I guess I don't really understand all the "hype" to the evo green because Ive seen a few EvoVIIIs with stock turbos put down the same power on race gas that most of the greens have put down on race gas.

You are .
But that is ok. Everyone has an opinion.

My stock turbo made 362/382tq and 11.8@116 . About as good as the best of those you speak off.
My Green makes 442/429tq. Take it from me that been there and done that, the Green is a nice improvement over stock.

Not bad considering my old conversion Excel program which converts Dynojet to Dyno Dynamics for pump gas
Dyno Dynamics equalling 331 whp equats to 389whp on a Dynojet

the green will really shine on full bolts and race gas. AEM will extract every last hp out of it also.

Al, you really must review your posts and stop and think before you hit the enter key man.

Jrod, David, and many of us have posted reviews on the Evo Green and all of us agree the turbo is a nice improvement over the stock 16G turbo, VIII or IX.

You "concur" with Jim Patterson statement is a contradiction to JRod, David, Curt, FP, and all of us who know better.

You are here talking about a car with stock air box, pipes, intercooler, a cat, etc.
Come on, be real. You tune them sure, but with this limitations, you are not going to go any where fast.
22 psi and limited mods on a Green is silly.
Mr. Buschur himself says not to even bolt it on until stage 4 and above.
Why even make this post.
Think.

You need a Excel program to make a simple percentage calculation?

Nonetheless, your conversion won't work here since the DD at the Shop has been recalibrated to read more like a DJ.

I'm not really placing much importance on this graph since he doesn't have all the supporting mods to really max out the green on pump gas.

One thing is the Green isn't much better than the 20g IX turbo. I witnessed with my own eyes an individual run a 7.2 in the 1/8th with the IX and meth. I haven't seen the Green do any better.

lets not forget the fact that he has a cat, stock airbox with stock pipes and intercooler without meth. I believe if those items were changed, then you would see a big difference. Again, the only way to verify a car's power is by taking it to the track.

Now divide the 332 by 1.10, which is the lowest correction factor used at The Shop and you get 302 hp at th wheels. That is the number this owner would get at all the other DD dynos.

I would never think of installing this turbo with such limited mods but maybe he has alky, a front mount, and piping in his future.
