Ams Vsr + Green + Dyno!

Well i want to start off by saying thank you to tuning technologies and their crew in southern california, also thanx to alfred for doing his tuning magic.

The numbers are lower then the previous set up without the TB + VSR.

This is the graph form the VSR + 65mm TB. Note all this run is set at 23psi and the run condition temp. was at 100 degrees.

Here is my pervious dyno before the run which the boost is set at 22psi.

This dyno was done at 74 degree condition. So there wer a 26 degree difference in tempature!

I'll be going back to the dyno in the morning to get some dyno pulls because this car feel totally different in cooler condition. The car pull alot stronger up top when it cold. So I assume my power lost or no gain what so ever is due to the 26 degree temp. difference.

26 degree difference is huge. Before and after is meaningless.

I agree. That is a huge difference in temps. Ive seen it happen with my own eyes.

Mr. Birdie, I'm assuming you have a bigger intercooler on there?

I do remember AMS saying that the low end and midrange would suffer slightly from the vsr but the top end would be improved and smoother. That looks to be the case here. VSR is probably a more worthwhile mod for higher boost or higher rev levels which is clearly where a difference would be noticed.

That's correct im running the Blitz LM intercooler. We had 3 fan in front of my car and we spray water infront of the intercooler. The damn temps still at 100 degrees.

I didn't know that 26 degree temp. would affect it that much. THe car feel like a animal at cooler temp lol.

Correct this is on 91 only. I'm assuming at cooler temp., My set up is a easy 400whp car.

The only way to REALLY see if you made additional power is to do it at LEAST the same temps. 26* is a very big difference. 100* is ridiculous.

I would say that between the 1 psi difference, and 26 degree temps, you made power for sure. Looks like a loss of 5 hp and 5 tq, but it is deceiving. I'll stay tuned for you're next dyno as it looks promising. I would have thought there would have been a change in the shape of your curves though. Maybe the graphs are deceiving too.

i can garantee if you ran it on cooler temp 1 day you would see 400whp which is great for 91

Both sheets are corrected to the same STD correction standard, so theoretically the temp difference should not make a difference. If you want to see the impact of temp, then turn off the correction factor on both sheet and print them out and post them.
