Evo IX transfer case issues

I've allreay had my tansfer case replaced under warranty at about 7000 miles.

Now one of the seals has gone out again and the seal is on back order.

Makes me wonder how many people are having problems with them on the IX's.

I have no mods and do not race the car on the 1/4 mile or auto x events.

SO, how many have had their tansfer case go out on them?

your poll should include a "No, my transfer is still fine" option.

Yours went out because of the Clutch and Flywheel you put in and then started launching it.

I just got rid of my 03. Had it since new and never had any problems with it. And I raced it drag/auto x/ and track.
The car was also lightly modded.

I wanted to add stock or modded option but couldn't figure it out after it was made. Sorry, it's my first poll.

Did you have to pay because of your aftermarket parts?

I once heard someone say, "if it brakes then it was a weak point anyway, replace it with something better."

My car is stock so I had my replaced under warranty. If my car was modded, and it broke, I would get something better.

My evo 9 tx is fine, so is my best friends. So are my friends friends evo 9 tx case. So are both the locals I know with evo 9's. My best friends evo 8 tx case was also fine and so are all the evo 8's that I know of.

Sounds to me like you got a clutch and wanted to have a little fun.

Mine is on its way out, I have 9k on my IX.....but ONLY because the dealership damaged it when they replaced my first stock clutch. It leaks slowly.....When they replaced the clutch they took chunks out of the edge of it and they destroyed the seal, and are denying the damage. Im in the process of taking the dealer to court.
