Jdm Mr Bov

After searching the past week, I found that the EVO is so sensative to mods that I'm suprised getting new tires doesn't require a tune

So is anybody going to tell me a JDM MR BOV (recirced like normal) will need a tune with no other mods (at this point in time)? I was going to start out with the buschur filter kit but apparently you run lean without a tune, and there is so many mixed opions it's hard to tell what is true on here I'm not ready for a flash yet. I want to wait... Anyway I want the JDM MR because I want to boost 21psi. I know thats not much more over stock, but it's afforable and I want to play it safe as far as leaking and I'll already have it for the future.

My plans are:
Buschur TBE
Buschur filter kit
JDM MR BOV
Hallman MBC (already have it) at 21psi peak
ECU Flash... hoping for 300whp?

I'm sure I'll do more power upgrades later, but I want to build the suspension for the track. I figured 300whp will suffice and then the suspension building will begin!

Sorry about the rambeling... JDM MR BOV (recriced) need a tune?

No tuning, the only tuning needed is for a BOV vented to the atmosphere. JDM DV doesn't need a tune.

VTA requires standalone.... well, I should say standalone allows for VTA. Either way, I don't care about VTA I just want to be safe at 21psi and I don't trust plastic

Thanks for the qucik replies

I would keep the plastic for now since you´ll only be boosting 21# peak and wait on the intake as well. Get camshafts and a Walbro pump instead. If you have any spare change then do the 2 housings(O2 & 10.5). Or, just do the Buschur/Warrtalon package for simplicity´s sake.

I'm just following the BR330 mods and a little more, not quite to the extent on the BR350 though so I should be right in the middle. Throw a walbro in there too, I forgot about that I'm not getting the whole intake, just the filter kit. From reading the intake throws off AFR reading big time. Of course I'm getting a tune anyway, bu I still don't think the pipe is worth it (yet)

I just wanted the MR BOV because like I said it's affordable, and I just want to be ready for more boost later.

Everybody has different ideas of what good first mods are, it's so hard to choose. Like I said I'm just following the BR330/350 formula

The stock POS evo 8 bov only holds 19 psi barely. So the first mod to do is to switch to the 9 bov.
