How long is the waiting list for the "Green" Turbos?
#121
Man...I feel bad for some of you guys
I ordered mine that was bought brand new--no exchange--on 5/22/2007; it was installed within a week of receiving it (installed 6/26/07).
At the time of order I was told it was only a 2 week waiting period. About two weeks later was told that it was another 3 weeks...well I complained and got it sent out the following week (the other 22 of that batch were going to BR).
Turned out that the main guy that puts these turbos together had an accident and broke it hand right after I'd ordered it. Don't know if that's still a complication or not--but it's obvious the wait time seems to be increasing.
The green is awesome and it was worth the wait time to me--I got it tuned by AMS. The only thing I would have done differently is stuck with the stock actuator instead of "upgrading" to the 18psi one. DON'T get that stronger actuator unless you're running high boost (i.e. 25+). You'll get a hump in your boost data and boost creep as well.
Car is a torque monster and runs awesome throughout the rev-range. I'll be dynoing it later this month on a dyno dynamics dyno and taking it to the drag strip around the same time so I'll have some numbers from the south here soon.

I did the exchange conversion, I sent my Evo 9 turbo in first to FP. Only option I added was the $45 port job.
I sent my IX turbo on June 7 and recieved my converted EvoGreen on August 1
Keep in mind that I live in Texas so shipping UPS Ground only takes 1 day to ship and recieve.

I bet if I was a vendor I would have mine by now. Im happy to see that you are receiving yours. I on the otherhand am still getting royally screwed. It seems like every time I check someone else is receiving theirs before me and I get bumped down the list again. I am hopeful as always that I will get mine in the next few weeks. I still dont think its right that people who ordered after me are still receiving their orders before mine, I can count at leats 10 cases of this, it makes it pretty clear why I am having to wait so long... just an observation.

I called every two weeks and was as nice as possible about the situation...I went for the sympathy rather than being an *** and demanding my turbo, maybe that helped speed things along
