Al, I didn't see this thread until today but yesterday I was thinking of asking BR to fabricate one if they could...

but since the shop is doin it, I'd def pick one up, assuming the design you used on his 9 would fit most mildly modded 8's?

I dont think you realize how loud your car already is at full throttle with a 3" exhaust. The extra noise this provides isnt earth shattering and it only makes the noise at WOT. I have bunch of vids of my car racing and stuff with the dump
I concur with you the sound was not that bad - less noise than I expected

I would like tio explore the option of attaching a silencer from a Porsche 930 Turbo. Those cars have a small muffler like silincer on the dump tubes.

What we need next is a genuine A - B test to quantify exactly what gains are made (if any) with just the externally dumping tube from the 02 housing

I think what we are going to do is offer them on a custom basis untill we can verify that it is in fact making additional power

At that point we can start to produce them

One car on the dyno without an A - B test is not enough data for me to get overly excited

At this point its just a curious example

Excellent point...I took a ride in Soon2bevo's car with his open dump and it just sounds awesome at WOT.

Let me know if you need a test mule!

Al, would you do a free tune on a car if some one paid to have one custom made? That way you could get your A to B comparison.
