I changed my turbo out a few wks ago and I also forgot to unhook the battery and it ran fine after that but once i did my fuel pump and injectors the car won't start at all. The shop can't figure it out either.

Did anything spark or cause that little flame like mine?

I've arc'ed off the starter once changing out the LICP. Other than scaring the **** out of me, there was no damage.

I always unhook the battery now.

The starter post is hot! It should have a rubber insulator

On my car it does have a little rubber cap. When I installed a new (bigger) turbo, the compressor exit pipe pushed the insulation off and shorted the starter. I didn't notice until the battery started steaming from the high current going through it. It was quite impressive looking, nice fat steam trails coming out of both battery terminals . After that the battery didn't hold much of a charge anymore, so I had to replace it - but other than that there was no damage.
