Cannot go in gear after launch

i have a Works CK2 and i tried couple of launched practice on it and after that it was pretty hard to shift into any gear...i had to push the car to the side as i was coming back from the country side....man...it would not let me go in gear....it felt like the clutch pedal is not push..but i step on it all the way.....it started to shift in gear now that i let the car sit for 1hour or 2...have anyone had this problem before?

I had a similar problem I was on the highway redlining in third and by mistake I put it into second. My rpm's went past 10,000 rpms after I took it out of gear real fast the clutch pedal got stuck to the floor I could not go into any gear I tried pumping the clutch pedal and it poped out to it's normal position and the shifter was shifting like normal. Everything was alright.

You may need to bleed the clutch master cyclinder or adjust the clutch. Hope you didn't kill your clutch.

did you DROP the clutch? or did you ease it into the launch, by letting the drivetrain mesh a little first?

From what your saying it sounds like its just really hard to get it into gear or will it just not go ? I'll look towards the clutch if its with any gear

I had this problem when i went to the track once. I had to drive home in third gear which sucked. It was really really hard to get it in gear, and the problem was the clutch, i just basically burnt it up. I had an ACT 2600 installed a week or so later and it felt great again. Good luck.

When you abuse your clutch like that it gets too hot and sticks to the flywheel

Thats called a mechanical over rev. Theres nothing the ecu can do to limit it. Everything is probably not "alright".

How did you know it went past 10k rpms? Butt tach?

I did that in my G35 coupe. Everything was alright. Until 3 months later when the engine went bye-bye.

If you slip the clutch too much on a launce it will warp the clutch.

The end result is that the car will drive the same as an EVO that has a clutch that is out of adjustment.....similar to how it would drive if you barely pushed the clutch pedal down enough to shift.

Welcome to the world of racing clutches in daily driver cars.
