Good thing ETS has both options then eh?

This UICP was built with the stock battery and nearly all aftermarket intakes in mind. The clearance is excellent all around but especially good to both the core support and radiator while leaving a bunch of room for the intake. In creating a large space to accomodate nearly all aftermarket intakes, fitment with the stock airbox is compromised. We felt that being able to fit almost every aftermarket intake was a better option than fitment with the stock airbox and very few of the aftermarket intakes available. The picture I took is really pretty poor for showing the clearances but I'll make sure the picture for our website is better!

As Bryan mentioned, we also have the short route UICP available that requires use of a small battery kit or trunk relocation

It will be $289 for the stock battery UICP. It is currently available but we're shipping them as fast as they can be built in the shop. As soon as we have both colors on the shelf we'll get them added onto the website In the meantime, anyone is welcome to call to place an order. These are available in an intercooler package so you will get an even sweeter deal if combined with our other products

Well what it comes down to is if you want to sacrifice a few hp for retaining the stock battey vs. shelling out over $230 to get a mini battey setup and run the short route piping. I personally think its not going to sacrifice so much to warrant spending the extra $230+ to get the mini battery. but thats just my opinion and who am I?

battery setups are not that expensive... you can get a simply tie down for 20 or 30 and the battery you can buy for less than 100

uglyevo: well said.
I did not want to go with the mini-battery kit w/short route UICP casue its really not gonna make a huge diffenence. I much rather put that money into tuning my car absolutely perfectly .

+1

Not to mention you have to replace the mini battery more often than a larger battery.

^some mini batteries are good, like the one ETS sells but the factory battery is more reliable for the cold weather starts.

A hard UICP might not increase HP numbers, but it will without a doubt increase peformance (throttle response).

So I did some recon for you guys to get exact lengths. The stock UICP is 60", our stock battery UICP is 52" and our short route UICP is 46" from my rough tape measure skills through the centerline of each. I used the same method for all three so at least the differences are consistent even if the lengths aren't exact. Considerably more length savings going to our stock battery UICP than I'd imagined. The short route on the left hasn't yet received its BOV flange and the stock battery UICP in the middle is not even finish welded, but they should still give you a good idea. Here's a pic of all three lined up. Choose your suspect

sweet. I am sure that picture with the length differences really cleared up alot for some people! That's pretty good going to stock route and still saving 8 inches.
